alarm kebakaran..

February, 21 2010
I just had a unique and interesting experience. The story is last night my dormitory Sheng-Li 6 emergency fire alarm was rang at 4 am pukul 4 waking up all of its residents from all 10th floors. Of course they were waken up in a shocked and panic condition, who wasn't with that kind of hogh alarm sound. They waking up the others roommate also and together ran away, maybe the one who needs to be waken up slept like cow style. Talk about me, after my roommate waken me up (oh yes, I am one of that cow. How come I couldn't wake up by myself with a very high tone continuous alarm sound) jumped up from my bed and reached out everything with a high speed moving hand like my bag, wallet and cellphone (I know I know I should just run away not to care save my stuffs anything). However, I always being prepared for this emergency situation as Taiwan is one with a high frequency earthquake area. I put my passport, important documents files, camera, handycam, laptop in one bag. That night I only need to add my wallet and cellphone only. After I thought everything importants already in my hands, I run out away with others people from 7th floor to the first floor used the main stairs.

After I arrived to the first floor, I joined a group of woman with their pajamas and confused face. I looked my group of friends and felt relieved they were there in the 1st floor also, save. They were all have a half consious a half confused faces. We were all like asking each others "What happened? Is that really a fire happen? Did you really see there is a fire? Why I couldn't see anything?" In the middle of that confusions,  my friend realised I was the only one who brought my stuffs down to 1st floor. They teased me how I still care about that kind of stuffs, not thinking my safety first. I defensed myself like I already prepared anything just  need to reach it out in case somethjng like this happened. I also practiced about it before. And explained how important it is to being well prepared. How will you go home without your passport? or what will you do if you lost your diploma paper? Am I right?

The frightened news was after we waited like 30 minutes in the first floor, our dormitory managers announced that the alarm was only for the real practice for us. We felt like "what the heck, it was 4 am for the God sake!" So we were all back to our each rooms with a disappointed and injustices faces. I felt shitty in my way back to my room. Everybody stared at me and my bag. Oh well~~ After I arrived at my room, I saw Novy still there!!!! with a panicked face looking for something so I asked her "what were you doing? you weren't came down all this time?" and she responded with a panic face "nooo, I lost my hijab" Hahaha, I told her if this wasn't a practice maybe she was the first victim there. See? It always important to being prepared for everything. Put your important belongings in a easy place to be reached out with. Night pals, I want to continue my disturbed sleep.
